It looks like this never got published:

We finally celebrated Tim and Elyse’s engagement, with a small party. (Pictures are posted.) This enabled us both families to meet each other’s children. Things went well and we want to thank all involved. We were lucky enough to accompany the kid to Jay’s catering in Garden Grove the other night where we tasted some wonderful food. Now we’re looking forward to Nov 8th at the Heritage Museum in Santa Ana, where the wedding will be held.

Other winder highlights: Luke finished his soccer season and Lani has made the Canyon High School play, Oklahoma. Both of them got their driving learner’s permits the other week and they are already in possession of a Toyota Corolla (Lani) and Nissan truck (Luke). Talk about your lucky kids! Many pictures posted of the cutest puppy in the whole world, Matza. He’s 3 pounds of fun!

We’re counting down the days to Mexico, where we’ll get to see our new Villa Magna condo finally furnished. Then the countdown will be begin to our European cruise in July. Sounds like a busy year in the making!

I know this site has been blank for a bit now. As Kim wanted me to walk the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, I decided to keep track of my training by listing everything week by week here. Here’s my start:

Per my walker buddies recommendation, I got fitted for a new pair of walking/running shoes. Wow what a difference that made. I also invested in some new socks and the most important part – body glide. No longer do I itch after walking. I helps to “glide”.

First week stats:
Sunday: 6670 steps, 3.016 miles, 346 calories, 57.23 minutes
Monday – regular spin class
Tuesday:11,740 steps, 5.199 miles, 586 calories, 1:35 minutes
Weds – regular spin class
Thurs: off
Fri: off
Saturday: 11,358 steps, 5.038 miles, 561 calories, 1:31 minutes
Suday: I forgot to turn on my pedometer (don’t laugh!) The walk was about 5 miles, in 1:30 and I’m sore – good enough for you?

Follow along with me. Come back for next week’s stats and keep me honest!
