As the year is fast coming to a close, and I once again have to ask Lani to address my Christmas cards, I wonder if time has sped up. At this time, we always take at least a moment to reflect:

We are joyous that we had all 9 of us available on Thanksgiving to snap a quick picture of to share with you (thanks John). We look forward to the coming year when many of us will get together to celebrate Nick and Ashley’s wedding. (If you don’t get an invite, we apologize, but between 2 families and some very popular kids, the wedding list grew way too long! We ask for all your understanding.) As life does tend to speed by, we are so thankful for those moments that define it.

The year started with Nick proposal (ok, technically it was the very end of last year) in Puerto Vallarta. With Glade and Carol there to help us celebrate, it truly was wonderful.Â

We remember back to April, when with great anticipation, we all boarded a cruise ship to the Caribbean. All 19 of us had a wonderful time and we thank each and every one of you for making my birthday special.

Nick and Ashley’s Master’s graduation in May was a treat. Also was meeting Ashley’s familiy for the first time. We look forward to a long relationship with them as we watch the kid’s family grow.

We remember Luke and Lani’s graduation in early June, and late June’s trip to Mexico, gave us the feeling of coming home. Our place on the beach is truly remarkable, and each time we’re there we pinch ourselves, that it’s really ours (well, at least a quarter of it). We’re fortunate however to share with 3 other wonderful couples. We look forward to next year when Bernie will become one of our owners.

We look back on Nick’s Labor Day homecoming, and then having both him and Ashley at Thanksgiving. The wine tasting in Temecula, dinner with Tony and Judy (and then again the casino itself) was so much fun.

Our holiday decorating with all the kids including Elyse was wonderful. Then all the parties started: Diane and Keith’s, the Arthur’s party, our block progressive this Friday, our New Year’s Recovery Party in December, then my KETIV party…no wonder why the end of the year goes by so quick.

From all of us: Danny, Robin, Nick, TJ, Cody, Lani and Luke – and hopefully and I can talk for Ashley and Elyse too (and Huck, Boo, Sugar, Chloe, and Roscoe) to you and yours, a joyous season.
