December 2005

We went to Chuck E. Cheese today for the first time in about 10 years. It was Marissa’s 2nd Birthday party. I’ve posted pictures of this and more of Winter Formal in the Dec 2005 album.

Nick is almost home. Christmas is almost here. Mexico is calling our name.

I think I finally have the hang of this new web site format. TJ decided to move my site and that required me to post all the photos over again. I decided to keep about a year at a time, so I’ve elminated some old ones and added some new. I like this new site tho, as it lets me decide on the order. I’ll try and keep the newer pictures to the beginning, with the exception of the condo pictures. I’ll keep those to the top so that potential renters don’t have to wade through all our other stuff.

A set of pictures that I added is titled Family Pictures May 2005. This is actually the picture that is on our family Christmas card. We took this picture in May as we thought that this would be Nick’s only visit before his winter break. Little did we know that he’d be home 2 more times. Oh well, that’s why Luke and Lani still have braces on their teeth, even tho they got them off this past summer. They both look much younger in the picture – amazing what a few months of growing does.

I’ve also added in pictures from Luke guitar recital at school this past week. It takes some looking, but you can see him from behind the music stand. There are also some pictures from Winter Formal. Cody took Lauren to the dance at Knott’s Berry Farm last night. Complete with limo, I think it was a night that both of them will remember for a long time.

Ok, I’ve got all our lives for the past 2 years on here, so if you are getting our Christmas card with web site and are looking at all this for the first time, thanks for checking in with us. I hope to have this replace my annual Christmas letter…except for a few that are still not using computers…guess I still have more writing to do.

We will be heading down to Mexico the day after Xmas. We’re flying Nick and Ashley down to join us a day later. We’ll be meeting Carol and Glade down there, where we’ll go whale watching and celebrate the New Year Mexican style. Until I have our latest adventure captured on this site, we wish you and yours the best of Holiday Seasons!!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Diane, Keith, Kathy, John, Bernie and kids. Kim, Eric and Marissa joined us for a before dinner get together, as they had plans with Eric’s family. Marissa was the entertainment. That little girl is too cute for her own good. Thanks guus for going out of your way to come and visit us.

After all was cleaned up, we headed up to Big Bear with Rick and Linda. Danny had made plans to drive back down the hill to get Nick to the airport. Bye Nick – see you in 3 weeks. We took Luke innertubing. The only problem is, most of the slopes opened up days later, as they had only just begun to blow snow. So we saw the tree lighting, played some pool and I was able to finally finish the 6th Harry Potter.

Saturday night was poker night. A little Texas Hold ‘Em. Danny decided to get in the mood by getting into his unibomber mode (see picture). Little did we know that Rick could one up him…he just happened to bring his Jack Sparrow wig (oh yes, more pictures). Luke and Cody followed suit with as much costume as they could muster. Luke and Danny duked it out for the championship, with Danny finally taking all.

All in all, it was a great weekend with family and friends!
